Ingredients:
125 Gms butter
90 Gms golden syrup
100 Gms brown sugar
200 Gms porridge oats
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 mug raisins
Good shot of alcohol
Chuck it together:
Soak raisins in alcohol for 1/2 hour to get them plump.
Melt butter, syrup ans sugar > put oats, cinnamon and drained raisins in a bowl > mix in the liquid and stir it all up.
Line a baking tin with greaseproof paper > spread the mixture > put in a fan oven at 160c for 20 minutes.
Let it cool > cut in to squares and enjoy.
Notes:
Use your favourite alcohol or miss it out but it helps plump up the raisins, I like to change around with Brandy, Orange or Bourbon.
After draining the raisins you can still drink the alcohol and it gives it a nice flavour.
Spread the mix in the tin with a wet spoon, it will stop it sticking.
160c is in a fan oven, you will have to convert it yourself.
